Southey/Cupar Minor Ball's governing bodies are Baseball Sask and Softball Sask. Please follow the correct link below to direct you to the appropriate sign in page.   

SOUTHEY LEARN TO PLAY, co-ed, age 4-9, Closes April 15th: Southey Learn to Play

CUPAR LEARN TO PLAY, co-ed age 4-9, closes April 15th: Cupar Learn to Play

BASEBALL, co-ed, age 10 and up, Closes January 31st: Baseball Registration

SOFTBALL, girls only, age 8 and up, Closes January 31stSoftball Registration

When registering for a child under 9 please use the link specific to the town you are in or live closest to. Any questions about where to register please reach out to us! 

11U, 13U and 15U baseball teams are capped at 14 players. If enough kids register to create two teams we will work with our evaluators at RBI to create teams based on their evaluated skill level. In the event that we do not have enough for two teams player may be subject to tryouts. Southey/Cupar Minor Ball Board may also move players up or down an age bracket, if space allows, to accommodate players if necessary. 


Learn-to-play:

For the 2026 Season, Southey/Cupar Minor Ball will have two separate registration platforms for each town. You MUST follow the link above to take you to the correct town page. 

Baseball Sask calls these age divisions Rally Cap, Softball Sask is Learn To Play.

Jr. Rally Cap is considered T-ball, where kids will be introduced to the game of baseball in a fun welcoming environment, with lots of parent help.

Sr. Rally Cap is a parent pitch league where kids will work more on throwing, catching, hitting and base running while having fun with their friends. These teams may play games against other Southey teams as well as local teams in the area. 

All players will require their own batting helmet and glove, bats provided.

Parent helpers will be required at every practice/game.

*Parent choice to register with 11U or Sr. Rally Cap, however your child may be placed where the Southey/Cupar Minor Ball board sees fit to create teams. 

Once registration closes the players will be further separated into teams by the Southey/Cupar Minor Ball Board.

Each child will get a t-shirt jersey with their name after the season starts and fees are paid.

  • Ball equipment as needed
  • General club maintenance 

Softball Division ages: 

While we are in the initial stages of merging the two boards Softball will still be using the Cupar Canucks name.

Competitive softball, B level, through Regina Minor Softball League. 

Practice may start indoors at the Southey Communiplex or the Cupar school gym in April with games starting in May. Season ends at the end of June.

Softball teams may have games and practices in any of the following communities, Cupar, Southey, and Earl Grey pending diamond availability.

  • RMSL team fee
  • Ball equipment as needed
  • General club maintenance (lime, shale, tractor fuel, etc.)

Baseball Division ages:

While we are in the initial stages of merging the two boards Softball will still be using the Southey Eagles name.

Competitive baseball played through the Baseball Regina League.

Practice may start indoors at the Southey Communiplex in April with games starting in May, as weather allows, season ends at the end of June.

Baseball teams may have games and practices in any of the following communities, Southey, Cupar and Earl Grey, pending diamond availability and size. 

All age groups will be A Level.

 A - Level of play as per Baseball Regina

  • Games in and within approximately 50 kms of Regina
  • Games/Practices 2-3X/week, weather pending
  • Season done by the end of school in June.

  • Baseball Sask insurance coverage
  • Baseball Regina Team fee
  • Umpire costs
  • Ball equipment as needed
  • General club maintenance (lime, shale, tractor fuel, etc.)

Additional Notes for all Divisions: 

  1. Level of play for Baseball Divisions will also be discussed at the first parent/team meeting after Registration closes.
  2. All Baseball Divisions are allowed to wear rubber cleats, 15U and 18U can wear metal cleats. 
  3. Special circumstances for teammates may be accommodated for children under 11U, within reason, such as siblings being on the same team. Contact Southey/Cupar Minor ball at southeyball@outlook.com with any requests.
  4. Additional team fees may required if teams decide on any tournament play.
  5. All players registered will initially be placed on the team they register for however in some instances, players may be moved down an age bracket if the team below is short players. Southey Minor Ball may also place you in a lower bracket if the maximum number of players for your age has been reached and the team is waitlisted.
